You've seen them all around, everyone in your neighborhood is getting one, your kids are begging for a dog, so you start researching bernedoodle puppies. Seriously, if you're going to get a puppy, why wouldn't you get a bernedoodle? These are the perfect all around family pet. They are overflowing with love and affection, they are typically low to non shedding and they come in a variety of colors and sizes to suit every families needs.
So, what is all this F- stuff? It is simply a way to keep track of how much Poodle and how much Bernese is in your dog, which leads to them being predisposed to different traits. Now it does get complicated, and there's no way to completely and accurately predict every characteristic of the offspring of each mated couple, but it gives breeders something to shoot for. To be honest, we all anxiously wait for delivery day so we can see what amazing little fur balls we have to care for. Sometimes we predict correctly, other times, it's whooooa, where'd that one come from?
If you have a family with severe allergies f1b, 75% poodle 25% Bernese is the way to go. Someone wanting more Bernese personality and markings might want to look for an f1 or f2 that keeps it at a 50/50 split. Regardless of which F- you get, the one thing that can be guaranteed is that you will end up with a dog that will bring you and your family years of unconditional love and affection. It will be smart, sometimes smarter than the owner :), it will be gentle, and it will always want to be right by your side. Discuss with your breeder which f- you are getting and make sure it's a fit for you, some do require a little more grooming maintenance, some tend to be a little more stubborn, some are bigger than others, but they all are simply amazing!!! I love my Bernedoodles, and you will too!!!
Contact me to inquire about my upcoming litter of f2b mini's and let's anxiously anticipate what these precious little buggers are going to look like together. Due the 23rd, ready for homes mid November!
